TRF Ltd Wins Rs 99.75 Crores Order

TRF Ltd, a Tata enterprise, has bagged yet another large order, worth at Rs 99.75 crores in the current financial year. The order has been placed on the Company by the Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation Ltd for a coal handling plant for its 1x210 MW - Rayalseema Thermal Power Project. This order is for design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the coal handling plant

Earlier in February 2008, the Company had won an order worth Rs 305.00 crores from Aravali Power Company Limited for setting up the coal handling plant for Indira Gandhi Super Thermal Power Project at Jhajjar, Haryana. Power from this plant would be supplied to New Delhi to meet its additional requirement for the 2010 Commonwealth Games. In July 2008, the Company had won its largest-ever order worth Rs. 413.85 crores from Damodar Valley Corporation. This order is also for setting up a coal handling plant on a turn-key basis for 2X600 MW-Raghunathpur Power Project (Phase-1), West Bengal.

TRF Ltd is a pioneer in engineering and supply of material handling equipment and systems for five decades. The company also owns a subsidiary, York Transport Equipment (Asia) Pte Limited, Singapore, which is engaged in the business of production and distribution of trailer undergears, with a market presence in 27 countries. TRF plans to expand York Transport Equipment (Asia) Pte Ltd business by starting manufacture of axles in India.
