Dr Jamshed J Irani, Chairman, TRF Ltd today inaugurated the new super plasma cutting system in Bay 2 of TRF Works. The super plasma cutting system is designed to cut thick material at high quality. The super plasma cutting machine, known as Super 400 Plus, is a brand manufactured by Koike Sanso Kogyo Company Ltd, Japan. The Super 400 Plus is reputed as world’s fastest precision, bevel-plasma cutting system with maximum speed of 6000 mm/min. The super plasma cutting machine is comparatively much more productive than the gas cutting and the manual cutting systems. The new super plasma cutting system is advantageous as it eliminates manual powder marking and manual gas cutting and machining.

On this occasion, Dr Jamshed J Irani also addressed the employees of TRF and said that he was extremely proud that TRF was growing at a good pace and this he said was mainly due to the commitment of the workers. He said that the growth of the Company would also benefit its stakeholders, including its employees.          

Mr Rakeshwar Pandey, President, Tata Robins Fraser Labour Union said that the employees of the Company were making every effort to achieve the goals laid in its Vision 2013 – grow five times in five years. However, he emphasized on the need for training of human resources, which was essential for handling modern equipments and meeting challenges in the future.

TRF Ltd is a pioneer in engineering and supply of material handling equipment and systems for five decades. The company also owns a subsidiary, York Transport Equipment (Asia) Pte Limited, Singapore, which is engaged in the business of production and distribution of trailer undergears, with a market presence in 27 countries. TRF plans to expand York Transport Equipment (Asia) Pte Ltd business by starting manufacture of axles in India.
