Gift Coupon: TRF Employees for Excellent Performance Announcement at TRF 11th Annual Joint Council

Mr.Sudhir Deoras, Managing Director, TRF Ltd, announced that every employee of TRF would get a gift coupon of Rs.2000 in appreciation of their contribution towards excellent performance of the Company in the year 2008-09. This was said on the occasion of the 11th Annual Joint Council of the Company, which was attended by all the employees of the company, members of the Tata Robins Fraser (TRF) Labour Union and members of TRF Ladies Association. The Company achieved an all time high turnover of Rs 723.80 crores, surpassing the previous best of Rs 446.28 crores achieved in 2007-08. The Company made a profit from ordinary activity after tax of Rs 40.49 crores in 2008-09, which is 26% higher than its previous best in 2007-08.

The Council was also an occasion for a dialogue on issues pertaining to production, profitability and welfare schemes for the employees. The 11th Joint Council witnessed the recognition of several teams for their contribution towards improvements in production processes and productivity. Awards for long service and suggestions were also given. The TRF Ladies Association was also recognized for their contribution towards community welfare activities that the company feels to be an integral part of its business process. The awards were given away by Mr.Sudhir Deoras, Managing Director and Mr.Rakeshwar Pandey, President, TRF Labour Union.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr.Rakeshwar Pandey, President of TRF Labour Union, said that the company had made unprecedented turnover and profit. This, he said, was due to excellent leadership and the commitment of every employee of the Company. He emphasized on the need for harnessing the potential in every employee and on tapping their innovativeness for making rapid progress.

Mr.Sudhir Deoras, said that TRF had performed well due to the contribution of all employees of the Company. He stressed on the need of having a positive approach as this would enable the Company to surmount all obstacles and reach unprecedented heights of performance. He said that TRF also believed in Tata Values and hence would always share its prosperity with its employees as it progressed.

TRF Ltd is a pioneer in engineering and supply of material handling equipment and systems for five decades. The company also owns a subsidiary, York Transport Equipment (Asia) Pte Limited, Singapore, which is engaged in the business of production and distribution of trailer undergears, with a market presence in 27 countries. TRF has expanded its business through York Transport Equipment (Asia) Pte Ltd by starting manufacture of axles in India.
