TRF Ladies Association Supports Cataract Camp

The TRF Ladies Association along with the Parivar Kalyan Sansthan (PKS) of Tata Motors launched a cataract camp at the PKS Health Centre, today. Through this camp, the TRF Ladies Association aims to reach out to 135 patients suffering from cataract by intraocular lens implant and thereby restoring their eye sight. Under the camp, the Ladies Association intends to cover those people suffering from this problem and residing in the neighborhood of its housing colony, TRF Nagar.


Speaking on the occasion, Mrs Madhuri Deoars, Chairperson, TRF Ladies Association said that restoring someone’s vision was a very noble task as it helped the person to lead a more meaningful life. She said that it was noteworthy that the Parviar Kalyan Sansthan and the TRF Ladies Association had been conducting the cataract camp for over ten years.


She also shared that the TRF Ladies Association is doing several other community welfare activities such as blood donation, free health clinic in collaboration with Parivar Kalyan Sansthan, vocational training for SC/ST students with  the objective of making them employable. It also runs a literacy class called ‘Akshar’ and a women empowerment programme called ‘Astitva’. TRF Ladies Association is committed to improving the quality of life of community residing in its vicinity. Mrs Jayanti Dutt, AGM, Community Services, Tata Motors reciprocated by stating that the TRF Ladies Association was the biggest partner of the PKS and lauded the efforts of the Association in conducting cataract camps in the past which had benefitted over 700 people.
