Progress at TRF’s Raghunathpur site

TRF has made continuous progress to fulfill its commitment to set up the coal handling plant at Raghunathpur - DVC’s (Damodar Valley Corporation) site for its 2X600 MW thermal power plant. The order is for design, engineering, manufacturing, supplying, erecting, testing and commissioning of a coal handling plant on a turn-key basis. The plant will be designed to run at a capacity of 1760 Tonnes Per Hour. We bring to you a brief report of ‘on-ground’ activities at the site in April 2011:

  1. TRACK HOPPER: Completion of Track Hopper is moving very fast. Two hoppers have been completed and the work on coal tray is under progress.
  2. WAGON TIPPLER: 95% of the civil works in Wagon Tippler area has been completed and the pedestal concreting is under progress. Further Mechanical erection will be taken up within a fortnight.
  3. STACKER RECLAIMER: Erection of Stacker Reclaimer-1 has started. At present Pylon & Boom erection are in progress. Erection of Stacker Reclaimer-2 is being planned and will be taken up within a fortnight.
  4. CRUSHER HOUSE: Structural erection is going on rapidly and erection upto 14.85 mtr level has been completed. Also, flooring upto 5.85 mtr level has been completed and upto 8.5 mtr level is in progress.
  5. Transfer Points (TPs) : Structural erection of TP-3,4 & 5 are under progress in full swing. Erection of TP-6 is expected to start in the month of May 2011.
  6. CONVEYOR GALLERIES: Erection of Galleries for Conveyors 2A/2B, 3A/3B, 9A/9B & 13A/13B has been completed and for Conveyors 4A/4B is in progress.
  7. Civil works for Admin Building, Pump Houses & Switch Gear room are on the advance stage of completion.
