TRF’s 13th Annual Joint Council Meeting
Discusses opportunities and challenges

The annual joint council meeting of TRF Limited was held today in its works premises in the presence of senior executives, executive committee members of the Tata Robins Fraser Labour Union, members of TRF Ladies Association and its employees. Congratulating the employees for their performance on the occasion, Mr. Sudhir Deoras, Managing Director, TRF Ltd, said that though the Company had achieved an-all time high production in the last financial year, there was plenty of opportunity for it to grow manifold and surpass its current best. He noted that the new fabrication yard would soon be ready and this would open several new opportunities of production for the Company. TRF Limited had recorded an-all time high turnover of Rs 1114 crores in the financial year 2010-11. He also took the opportunity to emphasise on the need to reduce cost in processes and products to enable it to better the competitors and win a larger share of the market. He also informed the house of the progress made by the group companies, namely York Transport Equipment, Dutch Lanka Trailer Manufacturing, Hewitt Robins International, and Adithya Automotive Applications.

Mr.Rakeshwar Pandey, President of TRF Labour Union, lauded the contribution of the employees in the rapid growth of the Company and highlighted the judicious investments made by it in bringing new technology and preparing the employees with the relevant skills to undertake new challenges of growth. He noted that the Company is now regarded as a desirable company by many stakeholders who wish to be associated with it, especially by those who aspire to work with the Company. Mr Pandey also acknowledged the role of the senior leadership of the Company, including its Managing Director in outstanding growth of the TRF Limited.

Mr PK Tibdewal, Chief, BMHE & PYE and Chairman of the Joint Council forum informed the house of the achievements made by the Company in the financial year 2010-11. Mr RK Rahi, General Secretary, TRF Labour Union was selected as the Chairman of the council in the financial year 2011-11. The meeting was conducted by Mr Arvind Kumar, Senior DM (P&A) and Secretary of the Joint Council conducted the proceedings.

The Council was also an occasion for discussion on queries raised and suggestions made by employees on production, profitability and welfare schemes. Awards for long service, suggestions for making improvements in work processes and productivity and team excellence were given away by Mr. Deoras, and Mr. Rakeshwar Pandey. The TRF Ladies Association was also recognized for their contribution towards community welfare activities which the company believes is an integral part of its business process.
